Understanding Sleep Disorders

If you’re feeling exhausted, unfocused, or constantly waking up at night, it might be more than stress. You could be dealing with Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA)—a condition where the airway is blocked during sleep, disrupting your breathing.

It’s more than just snoring—OSA can have serious consequences for your long-term health, contributing to heart disease, diabetes, stroke, and even obesity.

OSA affects millions of Americans, and many don’t even know they have it. But there’s good news—it’s treatable. At the Pain and Sleep Therapy Center, we’re here to help you breathe easier and sleep better with tailored solutions designed just for you.

Do You Recognize These Symptoms?

It’s easy to overlook the signs of a sleep disorder, but if any of these sound familiar, you might be missing out on the deep, restorative sleep your body needs:

Diagnosis: Getting the Answers You Need

To accurately diagnose Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), a physician’s evaluation and a sleep study are essential. Two types of sleep studies are available:

01.

At-Home Sleep Test – Portable Devices

Often the first choice for insurers, this option combines convenience with accuracy, allowing you to sleep in the comfort of your own home while collecting valuable data.

02.

In-Lab Sleep Study – Polysomnogram:

Conducted in a dedicated sleep center, this comprehensive study provides detailed insights for a more thorough diagnosis, making it the “Gold Standard” in sleep assessment.

Treatment

No two patients are the same, which is why we use a Triad Approach to treating sleep apnea. This combination of treatments is designed to provide you with restful, restorative sleep in the most comfortable way possible:

CPAP Therapy

CPAP Therapy: A common treatment for moderate to severe sleep apnea, CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) uses a mask that gently delivers positive air pressure to keep your airway open while you sleep. It’s highly effective in preventing airway collapse, and studies have shown that CPAP can significantly reduce the risk of heart disease in sleep apnea patients.
